Afrikana Film Festival Sept 2022
We were proud sponsors of this year 7th Annual Afrikana Film Festival. The Afrikana Film Festival , founded in 2014 by Enjoli Moon, is dedicated to using high-quality, well-crafted stories to elevate Black culture. The film festival brings filmmakers from around the world to Richmond, VA celebrating Black Creative expression in hope to build a community rooted in lasting connections across the diaspora.
During the Saturday session Allan Charles Chipman our, Faith Rooted Organizer & Transformation Strategist, was able to faciltated a conversation between a panel of the film Injustice: Hidden Crisis in Virginia’s Prisons. The ACLU of Virginia, in partnership with Narrative Arts, presented Injustice: Hidden Crisis in Virginia's Prisons, a documentary that seeks to shine the spotlight on Virginia's criminal legal system and the hundreds of thousands of people it impacts.
